Let’s be honest — we all people-watch. Especially at cafés.
And here at Lucid Cafe Bali, our community isn’t just a mix of hungry brunch-seekers and coffee connoisseurs — it’s a constellation of characters, each with their own rhythm, their own go-to order, their own quiet little rituals.
This isn’t just a cafe. It’s a midday sanctuary where stories unfold in every seat.
So let’s pull back the curtain and let you in on a few of our favorite regulars and the sacred little moments they create at Lucid.
☁️ The Table 3 Thinker
He always comes alone. Just after 10 a.m., I-phone in one hand, Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich in the other. His drink? An Hot Warm Cappuccino, always with oat milk.
He takes the window seat where the light hits just right, pulls out his smart phone , and sighs, like he’s been waiting for this all week.
We call him the Thinker — not because he talks much, but because when he’s here, he’s building something. Ideas, peace, a version of himself he doesn’t rush.
🏃♂️ The Fit Elderly: Two Coffees, One Big Heart
Around 6 PM, the breeze shifts. A familiar figure strolls in—sporty sneakers, a bounce in his step, and a grin that says, “I’ve walked here, again.” This local foreigner (a.k.a. Bule Lokal) lives just around the corner, but insists on walking—every day—because, as he tells the staff, “Feet were made for more than pedals.”
He starts with two coffees—yes, both for him. Sits back. Chats with the team. Shares stories, laughs, wisdom. It’s less of a coffee break and more of a Lucid ritual. By the time the sun dips behind the trees, he’s ready for something fulfilling—maybe Signature Fried Rice or Lucid’s Roasted Chicken—washed down with a well-earned cold beer.
🌱 The Young Family on a Reset
One teen daughter. One Kindle-wielding mom. One dad in flip-flops balancing a HomeMade Burgers with Chicken Patty and Smoothies for the rest (spoiler: the dad always order without avocado/greens on his burger and the daughter steal the fries ).
They take the 4 seated table below the main aircon in indoor area where it feels like the “HOT” seat. No buzz. No chaos. Just a breeze of cool & fresh air, and shared bites.
Lucid, for them, is pause and playtime — a rare moment where everyone eats well, giggles loud, and leaves with sauce on their sleeves.
✨ The Bali’s Pro-Active Mom
She stares at the menu like it’s a magic scroll.
“Wait… is this Truffle?!”
Yep. And we’re so glad she asked.
After a mini crash course in plant-based brilliance from the front-of-house team (shout out to Dilfa!), she orders the Truffle Scramble Eggs and an Iced Latte.
By the time she leaves, she’s followed us on Instagram, and promised to be back tomorrow.
(And she always is.)
☕ The Rushy (a.k.a. Mr. Macchiato)
He doesn’t have time to blink, let alone chat—but somehow, he always makes time for a macchiato. Always. So often, in fact, the team just calls him Mr. Macchiato behind the bar (affectionately, of course).
You’ll spot him for exactly 3.5 minutes at Lucid. Either he’s pacing outside mid-call—espresso in one hand, phone glued to the other—or he’s breezing through the café like a caffeine-fueled comet, grabbing his takeaway before vanishing into the black car waiting just outside.
He never sits for long. He never stays for small talk. But his loyalty to that tiny, bold cup of joy? Legendary.
🍽️ More Than Just Brunch
We like to think of Lucid as a kind of island living room — where Bali’s dreamers, doers, thinkers, parents, and wanderers come not just to eat, but to be.
To pause. To sketch. To plot the next big thing. Or to simply enjoy one of the best brunch in Jimbaran area.
So next time you walk through our doors for your midday escape, just know:
You’re not alone. You’re part of the Lucid story now. ✨
