CHAPTER 5 : It’s Starting to Feel Real

For the past few chapters, the progress at Puri Gading has mostly lived in conversations, planning, budgeting, errands, and imagination.
A lot of work was happening — even when there wasn’t always much to see yet.
But this chapter feels different.
Because now, the space is finally starting to look like Lucid.
From Structure to Space
After weeks of checking measurements, reviewing materials, revising layouts, and making countless small decisions, the physical transformation has become much clearer.
The dine-in area now feels open and welcoming.
The kitchen is beginning to show its real workflow and shape.
The counter and bar area — once just lines on a plan — are finally becoming recognizable parts of the café.
For the first time, it’s becoming easier to imagine daily life happening here.
Guests sitting with coffee in the morning.
Orders moving through the kitchen during brunch rush.
Conversations happening naturally across the counter.
The space still needs finishing touches, of course. There’s still work ahead before everything is complete.
But something has shifted.
It no longer feels like just a project.
It feels real.
The Reward of All the Small Decisions
Chapter 4 was filled with the less exciting side of progress — comparing tiles, reviewing costs, revisiting decisions, and running errands that didn’t always feel meaningful in the moment.
This chapter is a reminder of why all of that mattered.
Because now, those small choices are starting to come together into one clear picture.
The lighting decisions affect the mood of the space.
The layout choices shape how people move and interact.
The materials begin to give the café its personality.
None of it happened instantly.
And honestly, not every decision was easy.
But seeing the transformation now makes the process feel worth it.
More Than Just a New Building
What makes this stage exciting isn’t only the visual progress.
It’s the feeling attached to it.
The team can now walk through the space and naturally start talking about real routines:
- where guests might prefer to sit,
- how service will flow,
- where conversations will happen,
- how the café can feel both calmer and more connected at the same time.
These are no longer abstract ideas anymore.
They’re becoming part of a real environment.
And that changes the energy completely.
Growing Into the Next Chapter
One thing this journey has taught us is that progress rarely happens in one dramatic moment.
It happens slowly.
Through repeated effort.
Through patience.
Through people continuing to show up every day even when the finish line still feels far away.
Chapter 5 feels special because it’s the first time the future version of Lucid feels close enough to truly picture.
Not perfect yet.
Not finished yet.
But close enough to feel excited about what’s coming next.
Still the Same Lucid
Even with all the visible changes, one thing remains important to us:
The new Lucid should still feel like Lucid.
Warm mornings.
Comfortable conversations.
Good food made with care.
A place where people feel welcomed without needing a reason.
Puri Gading may bring a new environment, new energy, and new opportunities — but the heart behind it stays the same.
And as the space slowly comes to life, we’re reminded that this move was never just about building something bigger.
It was about building something better, together.
The Road Continues
There’s still more to finish.
More details to refine.
More long days ahead.
But for the first time since this journey began, we can honestly say:
“It’s starting to feel real.”
And we can’t wait to keep sharing the next chapters with you.
